French Day

And, of course, plenty of berets- well done to Year 1 for their perfectly coordinated outfits. On Thursday, 4th November, Wingfield hosted a French day, inviting all the children to celebrate anything and everything French. Our very own français experts, Miss Bolt and Madame Brussier, organised the events, ensuring that the children were immersed in French learning and culture. The kitchen staff also presented a delectable French inspired lunch comprising of croque monsieur and pancakes. Mr Mitakos was lucky to sample the croque monsieur and he is still salivating from that experience. Across the school, the walls were adorned with French phrases, encouraging the children to practise their French language. For the singing assembly, Madame Brussier and Mrs White combined expertly to perform and teach the French version of ‘Silent Night’. Douce nuit, sainte nuit!” is still gleefully ringing in the children’s ears!
